The Confinement Chronicles

I came back yesterday from the auto shop and plopped on my bed realizing that my wings have been clipped. The words of the mechanic kept playing over and over in my head: “The car’s second gear is about to blow out. It’s best not to drive it anymore

Alas, my beloved black stallion of 10 years has finally reached its demise. It’s saddening to know that such a wonderful car could give you insane headaches and create a black hole in your wallet. As much as I loved that car, it was an expensive and dysfunctional huge piece of metal. I’m even starting to think of that car as what my brother calls it: a girl. Are we really that expensive? o_o

So here I am, confined in my apartment and eating out of a bright green box of Apple Jacks. Every few minutes or so I ask myself what I would like to do today. It’s quite limiting not having a car in Los Angeles, while everyone back in San Francisco who doesn’t have a car functions pretty well using the Muni buses that come every 5 minutes or so.

Welcome to my Confinement Chronicles. I’m sure God is probably going to teach me something while being stuck in an apartment with no car to drive anywhere. I suppose this is a blessing. Winding down and being away from the business of work would probably open my eyes to a few things. Anyway, this will hopefully last until the end of the week. I have my fingers crossed :)
