The Skype window opened and I saw my dad smiling from one ear to another with a heart framing his face. My mom came in later and added the kissing effects. It was cheesy, yes, but what a way to send hearts and kisses half way across the world. Thank God for technology.
I felt very compelled to call my parents tonight even though we talked earlier this morning. After our conversation of our struggles, updates and encouragements, my dad wanted to pray. I feel most loved when others pray for me, especially from my parents, and it’s probably the easiest way to make me cry. Touched by the Holy Spirit, I prayed for them and not surprisingly, we spent the next 2-3 minutes crying our eyes out. All I could think of was Thank You, Jesus, Thank You, Jesus, Thank You, Jesus, followed by overwhelming thoughts of how incredibly thankful I am to have such wonderful and faithful servants to be Mom and Dad.
Praise the Lord. I love Jesus, I love my parents, and I absolutely love the power of prayer.
